A sweet gift exchange~

I have a group of wonderful friends that I have met via the Internet...truly special lovely ladies!
A few of us did a small gift exchange this year.  My friend Catie came up with the idea of an "Altoid Tin" exchange...where we would empty a tin and then we each put our own twist on it!

Lisa created this darling "evening out survival kit" for me!
It is covered in faux leather, a gold toggle clasp, and the darling flower on top!

Inside she tucked in a mini Altoid tin and a Burt's Bees lipstick in Guava!!
I LOVE Burt's Bees!!

 but seriously...can you stand the mirror inside??  She trimmed it out with gold ric rac...so cute!!

There are SO many ways you could take this idea!
I will share the tin I made for my friend Denise a little later because she hasn't opened hers yet :)

**Grand Opening** {My Etsy Shop}

I am excited to share my new etsy shop with you!!

I love crafting
I love making gifts
and sometimes when I love something, I make a whole bunch :)...so an etsy shop seemed like the perfect place for those things.
I hope to add more handmade items, and maybe even some fun treasures I find along the way...so stop in from time to time!

Twig Herb Markers {Garden Craft}

via
I had seen these little twig herb markers in my latest issue of Martha Stewart.
I made a bundle, tied them with twine and gave them with a few herbs as a birthday gift recently...they were so sweet.

Here is one I made for my English Tyme
I love how "earthy" and simple

A friend recently shared this idea with me, that she saw here...
a great use for all those wine corks :)!

DIY Bib Necklace

This morning I was on one of my fav fashion blogs...good life for less, and Jill was showing a cute outfit with a SUPER cute bib necklace she bought off of Etsy (which she is also having a giveaway for...so check it out!). I started browsing around through other blogs and stumbled upon THIS tutorial.

Well, that was all the motivation I needed...I set down my cup of coffee and got to work.

Here is my finished product...LOVE IT!

...and I made one for my little Fashionista!!

Vintage Style Christmas House Project

My Mom and I did a fun project over the weekend. I had bought these paper mache houses about a year ago...and we finally got around to painting and decorating them.
Originally I had intended to paint them creme and other soft colors...but who am I kidding...I am a color girl!

I really love this teal with a red roof! On the roof I just used the cheap snow that comes in a bag...and I had found these "kitschy" reindeer at an antique store, and love the way he makes this house look more "vintagey"!

On this green house...I used silver glass glitter on the roof for alot of sparkle.

This little pink house looks like a puff of cotton candy...I made this one to go in Lucy's room to put under the white feather boa tree I put on her dresser...it will look so magical.
