and today I received an email that my party is rotating in their "Party of the Day" slot!!

You can check it out HERE!!

In My Kitchen{Pumpkin Spice Latte}

This time of year....I am CRAZY for a Star*bucks Pumpkin Spice Latte

However, I cannot justify spending $4.50 (appx) for a grande.....
SO....I have perfected my own!

I have been hunting around trying to find the right stuff.  Star*bucks does not sell their pumpkin syrup, I have tried another syrup called Pumpkin Spice...and it just wasn't right
until....THIS
 DaVinci's Pumpkin Pie Sauce

YES...it has to be "sauce"...more like the consistency of Hershey's syrup!
I add some of this to the bottom of my latte mug, make my latte (with non-fat milk) on my espresso machine...and voila...my very own...

Pumpkin Spice Latte

Do you have a favorite coffee drink this time of year??

My Front Door!

I linked up tody with Kristen from My Uncommon Slice of Suburbia today on her Front Door Link post!

I love my doors!
 When we moved in these doors were solid beige...and let in very little light into our foyer.
These add so much character and warmth to the inside and outside of our home!

Click HERE to see a transformation of the inside of the doors too!

Lucy's {Vintage Cupcake Party}

I had the most fun planning this party for Lucy.
A friend had given her the cupcake dress, so I went from there.
I loved the idea of a {vintage} style party, so I tried my best to pull in lots of vintage inspiration.

I used lots of cake plates and milk glass pieces to add to the look...

I made all the cupcakes {lemon, strawberry, and chocolate!}, and found these darling white ruffled cupcake papers which added to the vintage feel I was going for...

Antique pink roses in small green glasses, strawberries and grapes piled high....

The {sweet shoppe} was a huge hit.  Apothecary jars filled with lots of goodies...
Candy Necklaces, Marshmallow Ropes, Tootsie Rolls (Lucy's fav!)
Kisses, Fruity Pops, and Strawberry & Chocolate Whoppers!

For the place settings for each girl, I used these antique class plates, with a small Kerr jar with a grey and white striped paper straw...and my Mom made these darling little place cards.

LOTS of tissue flower poms added so much color and whimsy!

Mason {Kerr} jars were used for the pink Lemonade and Iced Tea with vintage paper straws fround on Etsy.  I also made water bottle labels that said "Happy Birthday Lucy".
I put the lemonade jar on a OLD stool I had that was Toby's Great Great Grandfather's.

I LOVE the way this party turned out.  I had been planning this day for so long, and I really feel like it came together exactly how I wanted!!

{Friday Favorites}

I have to share TWO of my new favorite things!

First up....

Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure nail polish in
Commander in Chic!!

I first read about this polish in InStyle magazine, and thought I would give it a try!
Amazing...this color, first of all, is so fabulous, a taupey grey neutral, that looks so great on short nails for fall...and the compliments flow! They have lots of great colors from palest pinks to a black/brown that resembles a cool OPI color!

The best part...this polish LASTS and it dries very quickly!! I rarely paint my fingernails anymore. With all the cleaning and dishes and bathing, polish never seems to last more than a day before it chips! This polish LASTED...seriously it stayed on for 5 days without chipping while still doing all my usual chores. It is about $7 a bottle and I bought mine at Walgreens.
You MUST try!

Next up....
L'Oreal Double Extend Beauty Tubes mascara

So, I saw an ad for this one too, and was in the market for a new mascara.
You apply this using the white end first (a primer if you will) and then the red end.
Yes, it does make your lashes look longer, but for me the cool factor was that it doesn't smudge or run. I wear contacts, so I usually go for a waterproof mascara, so there is no flaking etc...but I hate trying to get waterproof OFF...and with some, all the black that ends up on my white towels!
This mascara literally comes off in "tubes". Once you rinse your face with water, and wet your lashes the mascara comes off each individual lash...very cool...and no more black eyes!!

So...there you have two of my new favorite products!
Let me know if you use or try one!
